Last summer I made Ping a little nightie from an embroidered - and very soft - pillowcase I bought at the thrift store.
Ping's mama said, "I love this. I hope you'll make some next year. She sleeps so hot and this is the perfect nightie for her!"
I tucked that request away in the back of my mind, but it came whooshing forward when I was browsing at Hancock's with Able Baker Dana last Friday and we saw this fabric.
I could just envision making a nightie from this fabric, and a little clothespin doll like this to go with it.
At 50% off, and needing only 1/2 yard, how could I resist?
I laid out a whopping $2.47 and anxiously looked forward to Sewing Day.
Now, I'm looking forward to the next time Ping spends the night.
After her bath, I'll just slip this over her head...
...and hand her this.
I'm thinking about making a little bed for the dolly from an empty Altoid or candy tin (like the one found here).
But, alas, sewing day is over for this week and today I am off to bake biscotti with Able Baker Dana and her friend.
Crunch, crunch. Yum, yum.
