I'm still sewing gifts for relatives I'll be seeing on our upcoming road trip.
Able Baker Dana was here on Wednesday and we cranked out a few 'aperns' together.
It was fun to see Able Baker sewing, instead of mixing flour and sugar.
I may have to change her name to Able Seamstress Dana...
...because she did such a great job on her aperns.
Someone was making her laugh while she modeled her apern for me.
I had Miss Helping Hands model mine for you.
Isn't she just as cute as a bug?
And isn't this fabric (from the Hancock's 40% off sale) nice and cheerful?
I think I could cook dinner and stay in a good mood wearing this, but, alas, away it goes to California.
I bought this fabric to make something for my happy young niece.
She lets her children get right in there with her when she's in the kitchen, so her daughter needed to have an apern to match mom's.
I wanted to make some aperns from my stash of perfect weight denim, so I was delighted to find that this yellow and navy toile looked perfect with it.
This one is for my Beeg Seester's birthday (which just happens to be today).
I hope she likes it.
I'm thinking about making a PDF of this apern pattern so each of you Dear Readers who like to sew could make one or two for your precious selves.
I hope that happens some day.
