The inchie for February 28 completes my year of drawing and watercoloring an inchie a day.
The 'catalog of gratitude' - for some of the blessings which have been part of my life over the last year - is now complete.
It's been a wonderful experience.
Somehow, it seems funny to me that the last inchie has to do with money.
I have been socking away some money in my (now mostly unused) checking account for awhile, because Miss Helping Hands and I are planning a little trip to celebrate her upcoming college graduation.
I write only one or two checks a month on the account, so I hadn't bothered balancing my register for several months.
I was whittling away at a stack of mail (paperwork: the bane of my existence) and decided to get the account statements out of my way.
I made the pleasant discovery that I'd forgotten to enter one of my deposits in the register.
So now I know I'm that much closer to lying on the beach in Southern California.

Since I am a firm believer that there ought to be gifts involved if one is celebrating a birthday, and since this is the first birthday celebration of my inchie journal, I made a little inchie greeting card that I would like to give to one of you, Dear Readers (my apologies - I had to use my flash to get the photo, so it's a bit washed out).
And I know you can't see it, but it says Happy Birthday at the bottom of the hat.
I will mail it in a separate envelope so you can actually use the card and envelope I am giving away.
Just leave a comment here telling me which of the year's inchies you enjoyed most, and why.
I'll be choosing a winner on Monday, March 7.
I won't be doing a random drawing this time, though.
I'm going to read your comments (leaving out your names) to my Bored of Directors and let them choose a winner.
They'd love to hear from you.
And so would I.
