I'm going to finish up the posts which include November inchies, but I'm noticing that they look like they belong to December.
November 26
Miss Helping Hands and I ran a few errands (after the Black Friday frenzy hours), and she was kind enough to go to Hobby Lobby with me (believe it or not, I do not like to go to Hobby Lobby, so I am always glad when I can go with a friend).
I don't think I found anything I was looking for, but for some reason (she made me) I broke down and bought that set of Martha Stewart glitter I've had on my wish list (gotta love the 40% off coupons).
And once I had the glitter, I remembered something beautiful I'd seen in a Living magazine, so I pulled it up online and showed it to Miss Helping Hands.
You could have knocked me over with a feather when she said, "We should make some".
She...who hates arts and crafts.
I wasn't about to let that pass.
We got out the glue, paintbrushes, and a box of miscellaneous seashells I had in my studio.
And we sat down at the card table and passed a couple of peaceful hours together.
At first...
...we weren't sure how much glue to apply, so some of the shell showed through.
We were more liberal as we went on, and we got some pretty nice coverage.
We really loved the way these kinds of shells looked, but we only had a few of them (and most of them had been 'donated' by Prince Charming).
When we started to do the non-ridged shells...
...we weren't nearly as happy with the results.
Then we realized that the round ones actually look like Christmas bulbs, and we decided to have a little fun.
There is still a pile of unfinished shells/ornaments on my workdesk.
You know, glitter has a tendancy to kind of go everywhere.
And it has some real staying power.
Just a minute ago, when Prince Charming walked by, I saw something sparkling on the back of his head.
I kid you not.

(Let's skip the 27th so we don't spoil someone's Christmas.)

I came home from work with a terrible backache and told Prince Charming that if he wanted to decorate the house for Christmas (he's kind of like Clark Griswold in regard to Christmas), I would be happy to lay on the sofa with my feet up and supervise.
Know what he said?
"Really? You promise you will lay there and relax and not get up and try to help?"
(I pause here and realize, again, that I do not deserve - but am very grateful for - that man.)
He really did get out the decorations, remove pictures, dust furniture, and begin the decorating.
He looked at photos from last year so he could get things just right.
He put the little snowmen in their winter home.
He is a very, very, very...
...kind man.

November 30
This year, for the very first time in our thirty-one years of marriage, the Prince and I were alone and together when we bought our Christmas tree.
I was fighting morning sickness (all day long) during our first Christmas together, and the rest, as they say...
...is history.
