Two of my shoots have birthdays today, and Little Man's is tomorrow.
But, since week-day life is busy, we did a little celebrating over the weekend.
Saturday I took Miss Helping Hands shopping for a new pair of high heels.
Wish I had taken a picture.
It seems like just yesterday she was wearing little white tights and a pair of Mary Janes.
And shoes like these...
...were just for playing dress-up.

On Sunday afternoon, Little Man - who has loved music since birth - had a rock 'n roll-themed birthday party.
And his father, Cable Guy - the hunting, fishing, boating, former Marine and outdoorsy man's man - asked me if I thought he had done a good first-time job decorating the two sheet cakes for the party.
On one he had drawn a CD and some music notes, and on the other a guitar with birthday greetings inside the outline.
What!?
I could hardly tell him how well I thought he'd done, because I was so surprised that he had done it...and that he was anxious for me to think well of the job!
I wish I hadn't forgotten the camera.
Because the icing was not pink.
And he did do a great job.
