I'm so glad I didn't add the words "on time" to my commitment to send homemade greeting cards to everyone on the family calendar this year.
I've been a little discouraged by the number of late cards I've mailed this summer, even though I keep reminding myself that the workload doubles during the summer months when fresh fruit and visitors are plentiful.
I spent quite a bit of time in my studio this afternoon finishing up the cards for August.
I did have to make one more late birthday card, but since I used a rubber stamp which I've always thought was funny, but have never used for a real purpose, I got to smile while I made it.
The inside says: "Your birthday blew right past me."
Alas, I misspelled 'whoosh'.
Sigh.
I think I am really addicted to drawing Inchies.
And I'm diggin' the ease of making greeting cards this way.
I'm glad I have so many people to love.
But if they could all have their birthdays and anniversaries during the winter months,...
... gee, that would be swell.
