Thursday morning I ate, for breakfast, one of the Reese's peanut-butter cups which Sam-I-Am had left behind Wednesday night.
For penance, I took a 45 minute walk/run on the mean streets in unpleasant temperatures and oppressive humidity .
And, as an undeserved bonus, I was able to add this lovely 'S' to my rescued alphabet, and this little whiffle ball to my, well, other found objects.
Friday afternoon the Little Man and I spent a hilarious half hour 'playing soccer' in the front room with this whiffle ball.
I want to be more like Little Man; easily pleased and full of wonder.
We stopped at an aquarium and fish store on the drive from his house to ours on Friday.
Just because it was there, and we could.
There were no other customers in the store and I asked the young man who was manning the desk if I could just let Little Man look around.
"No problem"
It was better than Disneyland.
For both of us.
There are some incredible and beautiful creatures in the world, and I looked with wonder at the all the amazing colors and designs of the fish in the tanks.
Little Man was happy just to move from aquarium to aquarium saying, "Bish! Bish! Bish!"
After our 'bish' store and soccer experiences, Little Man was ready for some quieter activities.
This is one of his new favorite things to do at Pretty's place:
And it's even more fun when Auntie Mary Mack holds the pin cushion.
A couple of weeks ago I bought Little Man's baby sister (coming this October) a piggy bank.
I let Little Man feed it when he's here.
When I give it to her at her baby shower, it will contain exactly the amount of money that he was willing to put in the slot.
I like that idea.
But I like Little Man a whole lot more.
