Golly gee, I've been enjoying the out-of-doors.
But, it's hard to draw Inchies when I'm mowing lawns, planting flowers, and stripping furniture.
I just got them all caught up Monday, and then Tuesday came and went without a trip to the studio.
Yikes.
Here are some of the ones you haven't seen, and a rambling walk through the days they represent.

First, I somehow managed to skip a day a couple of weeks ago, and I just realized on Monday that the Inchie calendar was off.
Normally, I wouldn't be able to remember what I'd done that far back, but we had great company that weekend.
Unforgettable company, you might say.
I thought about them (and I drooled, too) while I drew this Inchie for May 8.
Wish they'd all come back.

These days, I spend a little time in our yards every morning.
And, sometimes, I actually do something while I'm out there.
A little weeding or watering, perhaps.
Or even mowing those big lawns.
But every day I spend some time just gazing.
At the pretties on the front porch...
...and the ever-changing wildflower garden
It seems like something new is blooming every day.
I had one black-eyed Susan show itself on May 19, though I've not seen another since.
On the 21st, the cornflowers started blooming.
First the blue ones.
Then the purple ones.
Today there was a pink one, but it hasn't had it's picture made yet.
Prince Charming planted sunflowers this year, and they took the hammering of hail pretty well.
Only one of them broke and doubled over.
They are hardy plants, though, and a week later this is what we found:
It is now nearly shoulder height, just like the others.
How's that for resilience?
I think I'm drawing quite a few wildflower Inchies, but it will be nice to look at them next year and know when to expect each of the different blooms.
This Inchie serves to remind me of another blessing, as well.
I've been searching for a used (circa 1980), folding high chair since our first grandshoot was born.
I wanted one like I had when my shoots were babies: small footprint, easy to clean, easy to stow away.
Imagine my delight when I found this, in perfect condition, at a garage sale.
With this sticker price:
So happy.
And so unable to draw the highchair on the Inchie.

The Inchie for May 20 really deserves a post of it's own.
The people who work at the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped are amazingly kind and helpful.
We were treated to lunch, music by Edgar Cruz, and a tour of the library.
The man who led our tour happened to be the same man who does the sound recordings of locally published magazines.
He was telling us that the Library of Congress issues sound recordings of the mainstream magazines "like Psychology Today and Rolling Stone".
It struck me funny that he mentioned those two magazines together.
But, maybe it's just me.
The Library also has a garden for the blind called "The Hill".
It is a "tactile" and "multisensory" garden (chimes, waterfalls), according to the librarian.
We'll have to make a trip back to enjoy it, as we ran out of steam before we got outside.
GG thought it would be a wonderful place to take 'seeing' children to give them a gentle education in sensitivity to others.
I agree.

Next weekend my Seester, Cookie, is moving.
It's a local move to a more 'reasonably-sized' home.
It's a farewell to too much maintenance, too many empty rooms, and...
...a great big swimming pool.
I walked the mean streets to the last pool party at the old place.
I found something on the way which pleased me mucho.
I'd never even seen one before.
But someone suggested I use a 2010 penny for the photographs of my 2010 Inchies.
Should I make the switch?
