Third day into cutting way back on my caloric intake.
Third regular day following third sleepless night.
Fourth day of the week, following three days of manic activity in my brain and in my life.
Hungry + Tired = Possible Disaster
I just rocked the Grandshoot to sleep.
Then I decided to make one of my favorite healthy snack and just browse through a stack of old magazines.
How nice is it that when I went to get out what I needed to do this, there was a brown bag with my name already on it?
In my mother's handwriting.
Apparently, she sent something home with me and I dutifully recycled the gently-used bag.
Aw.
It took me all the way back to grade school lunches...sandwiches of homemade white bread, peanut butter and honey.
Where did I put my nickel "milk money"?
Care to join me for some homemade microwave popcorn?
Quarter cup of popping corn and 1/2 tsp (or less) of olive oil.
A good sprinkle of seasoning salt (or creative mix of herbs, if you're not too sleep-deprived to trust yourself).
Stir it all up and dump it into the brown bag.
Fold the top of the bag down a few times and place it in the mircrowave on high for about two and a half minutes.
Pour the popped corn into your vintage mixing bowl.
Place several ice cubes in a glass and add your choice of healthy drink.
I chose a green tea blend.
