It's hard to take an inch when you really need a mile.
I'm sure every day is full of remarkable and wonderful things, and the fault is mine when I don't see them.
But when I do see them, it's hard to choose only one image for my daily "Inchie".
Tuesday I went to visit Me Darlin' Mither and she had the audacity to be out shopping and lunching with a friend.
Which afforded me a little time to stop in and browse at the thrift store.
I spied a little metal pitcher that was just made to hold wildflowers.
I hope that counting your wildflowers before they grow is not the same as counting your chickens before they hatch.
Because I spent a whole American dollar buying that vase.

Those of you who are my old Facebook friends may remember a spring break gone by when I described the fun-time-gone-bad that my daughter and I had making "door decs" for the residents of her dorm hall.
For some reason, we felt we were being tortured before we were half-way through.
And we thought we'd never, ever do that again.
Guess what we did Wednesday?
Yep.
40 more.
I will say it was much easier this time, because we had paper that was already printed on both sides.
Last year we had to glue paper to paper before we could trace, cut, and add wings and ribbon.
Aaaccckkkk.
We're not going to think about that any more.
------
Now, I don't have any inchies for this, but I have more breaking news from the boxes of dirt in the sunroom.
We now have sprouts of Flat-Leaf Parsley, French Rosemary, and Sweet Basil.
We also have a showing of Nasturtiums (I think I'm going to have to add 'nasturtium' to my 'favorite words' list).
Oh....and one brave, little shoot from the box marked "Sweet Peas".
I told you I needed a mile.
